Ireland is voting today on the EU Fiscal Compact — essentially holding a referendum on whether they should cede budget sovereignty.
That's kind of a big deal, but does Ireland care?
Apparently not — Bruno Waterfield of the Telegraph reports that turnout was only at 20 percent half way through the day of voting.
With that low a turnout, Waterfield writes, the dreaded "no" vote becomes all the more likely.
